Review: MAC Lipstick in Rebel

Hi loves! 🙂

The other day I picked up a MAC lipstick that I've had my eye on for agess. It's called 'Rebel' and it's an absolutely stunning purple-y plum, gorgeous for this time of the year.

It's a Satin finish, which means that it's still creamy, matte and full of colour but a lot less drying on the lips than the matte finishes. As you all know I the satin and amplified finishes from MAC are my absolute favourites because they're so packed with colour, and you can always find literally any colour that you could ever want, they last forever too which is a bonus! Check out the swatch below 🙂

What do you think? What's your favourite MAC lipstick?

Hello my loves!

I hope you all had a good weekend, I'm sorry I haven't been posting much this week I've been super busy with work and everything!

But I did find time to go shopping (I know, naughty!) and pick up a few bits and pieces that I've had my eye on for a while now and I couldn't wait to get home and play with it all so I could get on and tell you all about it! So here's what I got..

MAC Lustre Drops in Pink Rebel
Smashbox Oil-Free Photo Finish Primer in Light
Estée Lauder Sumptuous Extreme Mascara in Black
Smashbox Smoke Box Eye Palette
*The MAC Fluidline wasn't for me but I just thought I'd include in the picture, and I also bought MAC lipstick in Rebel and forgot to put it in there!
I also came home with a little sample pot of the Creme de la Mer Moisturising Gel Cream that I can't wait to try!
Swatches coming soon! 🙂

Rick Baker for MAC

The one and only, legendary special effects artist Rick Baker has announced his new collection for MAC, super exciting and just in time for Halloween, yay!

He has created three unique looks to introduce his collection; Zombie, Day of the Dead and Bride. I’m super excited to get my hands on this collection, the theme is right up my street! The collection includes Monster FX, 2 Limited Edition Pro Palettes, 4 Acrylic Paints, 2 Paintsticks, 3 Chromagraphic Pencils, Chromacake, Setting Powder, Penultimate Eyeliner, Face and Body Foundation, and as always, Lip Liners and Lipsticks.

First up, here are my favourite picks from the collection. The two Pro Palettes, Spider Queen and the Monsters’ Bride look incredible. Both contain 6 shades of highly pigmented powders to create whatever look you desire! Spider Queen is full of gorgeous colour, a mid-tone violet (Dusty Purple), a deep, rich aubergine (Indian Ink), dark and shimmery purple (Deep Purple), a citrus-y, bright green (Lime), a warm, yellow green (Moss) and as always, matte, pitch black (Carbon).

The Monsters Bride palette contains shades that are a bit more wearable for everyday. There’s a shimmery, frosted white (Mylar), matte black (Carbon), creamy taupe (Omega), bright lime green (Bitter), brown with green pearl (Club) and a matte, chocolate brown (Brun).
Next up is the Lipstick. An amazing Purple-Black called Cyber. Deep and rich in colour and I can guarantee without even trying it that it’s going to be super pigmented and creamy. MAC lipsticks never disappoint me and this colour is just perfect for A/W.
Next up is the Chromacake. These are a solid colour cake that is activated when mixed with water and is ideal for face or body painting. They can also be mixed with the Face and Body instead of water for a different finish and you can add a pigment on top to create a shimmery, pearlised effect. The one in this collection is an opaque, matte white.
And the final product on my Wishlist from the lovely Mr Baker’s collection has to be the Monster FX designed. Y the man himself. Monster FX is a sheer tint designed to give the skin a subtle wash of colour. This is a limited edition shade called Dirt, which is a warm yellow-brown with ochre undertones.
What do you think, which one will be your pick from the Master of Special Effects?!
Love & Lipstick,
Tammy xoxo

In order to get your Pro cards, almost all of these companies will require some sort of ID to prove that you are a working artist. This is generally 2 or more of the following:
Business or Comp Cards. If you don’t have a business card yet, you can get simple and cheap ones online, I got mine from www.vistaprint.com.
Tear Sheet. This is a piece of Editorial work with your name printed on it.
Crew Call Sheet. A sheet printed with your name, location and call time, listing everyone else involved and their department. You can usually get these easily if your working on film or tv.
Union Card. You can join a union such as BECTU which entitles you to tonnes of benefits from as little as a tenner a year!

I hope this helped you guys, I know it’s tough to build a pro kit, especially when your just starting out! 🙂
