Fresh Faced Friday!

Hello my lovelies!

I decided to do a little bit of a tutorial for you today, just a round up of my general, everyday make up routine, hope you enjoy it! 🙂

So, this is before the magic happens, fresh faced and ready to go! (Scary, I know :p)

So first off, you know I always start with my skincare. So to start with, I applied my Lancôme Visionnaire serum, Clarins HydraQuench cream because I think coming into the winter time, my skin gets a bit drier so I need that extra little bit of hydration, and finally Clarins Moisture Replenishing Lip Balm purely because it gives the perfect base for lipstick, especially if your wearing a colour. It’s also super moisturising, which is great if you wear a lot of matte lipsticks, like me, and your lips tend to be drier.

So now it’s onto the base. I started with the Porefessional primer from Benefit (great if you have oily/combination skin like me, and open pores as well!), just applied with my fingers on the t-zone. I then buffed Doublewear Light foundation from Estée Lauder in 03 into my skin using the Stippling Brush from E.L.F. I also applied the Benefit Bo-ing Concealor (02) using my ring finger onto any little blemishes before dusting Creme de la Mer translucent Loose Powder over my whole face.

Next, onto the Contouring & Highlighting. This is the part people seem to have most difficulty with so ill do a separate tutorial on that later 🙂 I started by dusting MUA Bronzed Perfection Bronzer onto the higher planes of the face (forehead, cheekbones, nose and chin). Then, apply the bronzer, lightly, (your not trying to look like you need to wash your face!) along the hairline, down each side of the bridge of the nose and underneath the cheekbones and sweep out wards to the hair line. Then, with highlighter, I used Watts Up! from Benefit, apply to the centre of the forehead, brow bones, cheek bones, down the centre of the nose, Cupid’s bow and chin and buff in using a foundation brush. Then, with your blusher, apply lightly to the apples of the cheeks and sweep out towards the hairline.

This should be what your aiming for:

Then it’s onto the exciting part, eyes! 🙂 I used the Urban Decay Naked Pallete to cereal an everyday smokey eye look. I started by using Sidecar from the centre of the lid outwards, and then applying Naked to the crease.

I them applied Virgin as my highlight, to the inner corner of the eye.

Finally, I used Darkhorse (this is my most used colour in the palette, I blend it with everything!), on the outer crease and lid to add some definition.

Then, I simply added black kohl liner to the top and bottom lash lines and smudged slightly with my fingers, before adding They’re Real mascara from Benefit.

You can see the before and after here too, which I think is pretty amazing, my eyes go from having no lashes at all to almost looking like falsies (in a good way!).

Next, it was onto the brows! You all know i love a strong brow and if you haven’t seen my post on how to do the perfect brows, you can find it here..https://loveandlipstickforever.wordpress.com/2013/08/20/how-to-get-the-perfect-brows/, but this is what I used today.

Lastly, I added E.L.F’s Moisturising Tinted Lip Balm in Berry and we’re good to go!

This is what you should end up with!

Hope you had fun reading this guys,

Love & Lipstick,

Tammy xoxo

Upcoming Benefit Launches!

Hi guys! 🙂

So, I know you all know that the new Benefit perfume is released at the end of this month but did you also know that the Bathina spray on body oil is launched on the same day?

The original Bathina comes in a creamy formula that can be rubbed onto the body to give a gorgeous, shimmery glow. The same idea with the new Bathina, except this time it’ll much easier to apply, just spray on after you come out of the shower & your good to glow!

BUT there’s also another top-secret Bene-launch coming this January that I am SO excited about! As an avid Pore-fessional fan, I cannot wait for this, coming out in January. Check it out.. the Porefessional; Agent Zero Shine translucent powder!

Annndddd… Finally, another addition to the B.right skincare range, called Dream Screen. It’s a liquid sunscreen, oil free SPF 25 PA***, the highest sunscreen protection available, coming out in the New Year.

How exciting! 🙂

Love & Lipstick,

Tammy xoxo

Benefit Haul!

Hello my lovelies! 🙂

So, my Benefit allocation arrived okay so I thought I’d share with you the things that I got!

20130913-223921.jpg
L-R: Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow foundation, Watts Up! Highlighter, World Famous Neutrals; Sexiest Nudes Ever eye palette, Boo Boo Zap & Bella Bamba blush.

I thought we’d start with the Hello Flawless. I chose the shade ‘Beige’. Benefit foundation comes in 3 categories, Light, Medium & Dark. ‘Beige’ is the lightest colour in the Medium sector.

20130913-224113.jpg
I genuinely love this foundation, it’s oil free which is great for me as I have oily/combination skin, and it spreads brilliantly so a little goes a long way. The coverage is light to medium and buildable so it’s great for everyday wear, it gives a gorgeous, dewy finish and contains a unique ingredient called the Tri-Radiance Complex which instantly brightens and hydrates the skin.

20130913-224356.jpg
Next up, we’ve got the “Watts Up!” highlighter. Honestly, I prefer this to the High Beam, Sun Beam etc purely because its easier to apply, blend and is a nicer colour. The stick formula makes it super easy to apply, it just glides over the skin and the little buffing sponge blends it in without leaving you looking like you have a big, messy, patchy ‘C’ shape around each side of your face. It also doesn’t dry in so it’s much easier applied than the High Beam and its a lovely, shimmery golden colour.

20130916-133124.jpg

20130916-133133.jpg
Now then, Bella Bamba! This is my favourite Benefit blush. Pink (of course), highly pigmented and slightly shimmery, what’s not to like?!

20130916-133242.jpg
And now we’ on to the really exciting part, this was the one product I couldn’t wait to get my hands on out of this whole package.. the World’s Famous Neutrals; Sexiest Nudes Ever palette. What can I say about it..it’s just stunning. A super cute palette containing four powder shadows and two creams. The creams I love, they’re so easy to use and take very little blending, which is super handy if your always rushing around like me! The kit also comes with 2 lovely little looks that you can try at home, ill post my versions of them later this week! 🙂

20130916-133603.jpg
The two creams are ‘Holy Smokes’ a gorgeous charcoal grey and ‘Bikini-Tini’, a light, shimmery, shell-pink.

20130916-133753.jpg
Onto the powders we’ve got ‘Milk It’, a shimmery white, perfect for highlighting, ‘Raincheck’ a deep purple, ‘Pause for Applause’, a light lilac-pink and ‘
Blingo’, my absolute favourite, it’s a super blingy, metallic silver, amazing!

20130916-134006.jpg
I also got the holy grail of spot treatments, Boo Boo Zap which is amazing for clearing up spots within a couple of days but there isn’t really much I can show you with that!

20130916-134107.jpg

Hope you enjoyed this lovelies!

Saturday Haul!

Hello pretties!

So, after work on Saturday I was a little naughty and had a(nother) little beauty splurge.. I always feel so bad spending money on more beauty products I really don’t need, but then I just think its for the blog and that makes me feel better :p

This is what I came home with..

20130910-104926.jpg

First up, we’ve got a Pro Formula Face Wash and Exfoliator. This is a brand I’ve never seen before and is new and exclusive to Tesco! I picked up the version for normal/combination skin as I have a super oily t-zone. Both these products contain Green Tea & Vitamin E complex to gently cleanse and soften the skin. I’ve been using these for a few days now and I like them so far, the face wash is great; a gel kind of texture that foams up almost as soon as the water hits it, a little does go a long way.
The exfoliator I’ve only used once so far but I’ve definitely noticed a difference, it’s creamy with a rough grain, which I like, it’s grainy enough to feel it working but not so much that its rough on the skin. My skin felt so much softer and looked brighter after I used it as well.

Now onto the exciting stuff, lipsticks eek! 🙂
I can’t believe it took me so long but I FINALLY got round to getting myself a Kate Moss for Rimmel lipstick, as well as one of the Apocalips glosses.
We’ll star with the Kate Moss one as you all know I’m not really into nude lipsticks, I love colour, but I saw this one and thought it was just gorgeous. It’s matte as well which I really like.

20130910-105953.jpg

20130910-105958.jpg
The colour of this one is 03, it’s a lovely, matte, peachy nude, stunning. I also love the packaging of these, very sleek and classy.

This is the one I’m super excited about, the Rimmel Apocolips gloss! All I can say is that they are AMAZING!

20130910-110330.jpg

20130910-110326.jpg
I swatched all of them in the store (obviously), but I came home with Apocoliptic, a st-uhnning fuschia pink. I can’t believe how pigmented they are, the colour payoff is just incredible. I also really like how there is an almost matte finish, they aren ‘t overly glossy and not sticky at all. Plus, once it’s on, it’s ON, this baby isn’t moving! And for just under £6, how can you go wrong?! The only complaint I have about this is the applicator, I find its just not a great shape to apply with and makes the gloss go on uneven, I think the finish is much better with a brush but obviously that’s personal preference!

What do you guys think, do you use any of these products?

Love & Lipstick,
Tammy xoxo
