I’m back! (Again..)

Hello loves!

I apologise for being blog free for so long, I didn’t realize how little time you actually have when you first move out of home, there’s literally ALWAYS something boring like cleaning or washing to do and I have so much less time to do fun things like talking to you guys about playing with make up!
BUT I have good news, I’m making a pledge from now on to do at least 2 blog posts per week as I’ve really missed it 😦
So, to start with, I’m going to do a quick round up on all the products I’ve gathered up since I’ve been away from the blogosphere!

So from the top we’ve got
MAC Studio Fix foundation in NW20
Hask Argan Oil Treatment
Lush Eau Roma Toning Water
MAC Extreme Dimension 3D Mascara
MAC Studio Fix Concealor in NW25
MAC Bronzing Powder in Bronze
Benefit Gimme Brow in Light/Medium
Rimmel Scandaleyes Kohl Liner in 005 Nude
Barry M Lip Liner in 2
MUA Lip Liner in Red Drama
Collection Lip Definer Crayon in Damson
Nars Blush in Angelika
Maybelline Color Tattoo in Permanent Taupe
Guerlain Mascara (I’m not sure of the proper name for this one!)
Rimmel Lipstick in 006 Pink Blush
MAC Lipstick in Brave

Some do these products I’ve been using for a few weeks now and some I’ve literally just bought! I’ll go into some of the products in more detail in later posts but let’s start with the ones I’ve actually been using πŸ™‚

To start with, I am OBSESSED with the Hask Argan Oil hair treatment, I actually loved it so much I went and got another one before I even finished the first one! I picked this up from primark for Β£2.50 and it’s one of the best things I’ve ever used on my hair and a little goes such a long way. I’ve been using this on the ends of my hair before I blow dry it and then once a week I use it all over, throw my hair up in a bun and let in soak in overnight and my hair looks and feels so much healthier than before! It’s like I’ve found my holy grail of hair care!

The Eau Roma toning water from Lush is great too, I love that it comes in a little spray bottle, it’s so cute and I’m way too lazy when it comes to toners, for some reason I’ve just never been able to get into them but since I’ve bought this I’ve been using it faithfully. It’s got lavender in it which is great for soothing the skin, I spritz it on after washing my face at night and then apply my face oil and moisturizer and it’s really nice to spray on over make up during the day too if your skin feels a little dehydrated, it’s a really nice pick me up. And it smells great too!

I love this MAC bronzing powder, I got it in the lighter colour Bronze because I’ve been wearing less fake tan recently and this gives a lovely subtle hint of colour and it’s also got a little bit of sparkle in there to really make your skin glow!

I’ve also been having some skin issues lately, not so much breakouts but my skin can get quite irritated and the marks/scars from where I’ve had spots before have been very noticeable, even after I had my make up on and it was getting so difficult to find something that would cover them but then I took a little trip to MAC and discovered the Studio Fix concealer. It is AMAZING. It literally covers everything, I can’t even say anything more about it because it’s just. that. good. I’ve also been using the Studio Fix foundation and I love it, it’s great coverage and the staying power is fantastic but I’ve been wearing it for a few weeks now and I’m starting to feel like it’s getting a bit too heavy for my skin and I should take a break from it to let my skin breathe.

I also stocked up on some lip liners as I actually have very few of them, and also a nude eye liner pencil as I’ve been searching for one for a while and it was surprisingly hard to get one that was a decent colour!
So from the top left, we have the Rimmel Scandaleyes kohl pencil, which I found to be a really nice colour and it looks great in the lower waterline to really make your eyes pop. However, i did find that it’s so creamy to the point where the lead is very easily broken.
Top right we have the MUA Lip Liner in Red Drama. I went on the hunt specifically for a red lip liner without spending a fortune, and when I popped into Superdrug, this was literally the only red pencil they had so I thought I’d give it a go! It’s a great colour, although it has slightly orangey undertones and it gives a great outline but it’s also very soft and the lead wears down very very quickly so it needs sharpened a lot!
Below that, we have the Barry M Lip Liner in no. 2. This, in my opinion is
the perfect lip liner, a fine liner with a stiff lead which makes it really easy to apply and gives the perfect outline. It’s also a great hot pink colour and looks great when you colour in the lips and use it as a lipstick!
Finally, the last one is the Collection Lip Definer Crayon in Damson, which is a really nice deep plum colour, lovely for this time of year. I love these, I’ve got a few different colours and they never fail to disappoint me. They also look lovely worn all over the lips as a matte colour.

While I was in Superdrug, I also picked up one of the Maybelline Colour Tattoo Eyeshadows, I adore cream Eyeshadows and I’ve heard loads of good things about these so for Β£5.99 how could I not test it out? I got the colour Permanent Taupe which is the most gorgeous matte, slate grey and perfect for everyday wear. It’s such a lovely texture, slightly on the drier side of a cream but in a good way (if that makes any sense!), it makes the colour payoff better and it has great staying power.

I also treated myself to a Nars blusher that I’ve been eyeing up for ages! It’s the shade Angelika, and I feel like these pictures do not do justice to just how stunning this blush actually is! It’s the most amazing barbie pink colour and it has such a gorgeous sparkle to it which looks so lovely on the skin.
I bought this mascara from Guerlain a month or so ago as I’d heard a few other bloggers talking about it, and I love the packaging, it’s so sleek and luxurious but when I tried it I was so disappointed!

It does give my lashes a really glossy black finish but that was it. I didn’t get any real volume or length from it and for the price of it I felt really let down!
But, it gets better! I’ve actually never tried a mascara from MAC before and I thought I’d give it a go, so I asked the lovely lady I always go to at my local counter and she pointed me in the direction of the Extreme Dimension 3D mascara in extra black and it is fantastic! It does everything you could ever want from a mascara. It is really really similar to Benefits They’re Real mascara, the brushes are very very similar, although the MAC one is slightly more spongy, however both give me massive, thick, glossy lashes and every time I wear it I get asked if I’m wearing falsies so it must be a good sign!

Now, any of you who read my blog know that I can’t go make up shopping without coming home with a lipstick (or two!) and this time was no different. I picked up a lovely rimmel one in a gorgeous light pink colour called 006 Pink Blush which you can see on the left below, and it’s a really pretty, girly colour. It’s got a lovely little shimmer to it and gives a nice glossy finish but I find that it doesn’t last very long on the lips.
I also bought Brave from MAC, which you can see on the right in the photo below, which is just a gorgeous, creamy, nude and I’ve been wearing it almost every day since I bought it.

Now finally, I’ve got some brow love to show you! I’ve been SO excited to tell everyone about the new brow product from Benefit, Gimme Brow. If you haven’t heard of it already, it’s a brow volumiser and is made up of tiny fibres that attach to your own hairs to give you brows that rival Cara Delevigne! It’s not actually released until Feb 28th but I’ve had mine for a month or so to play around with it before I start selling to customers. Unfortunately, I didn’t get a choice in the colour I got so I ended up with light/medium, which is way to light for me but I tried it anyway and it really does make such a huge difference. I’ll do another post later to tell you all more about it and do some before and after pics! πŸ™‚

I know that was such a long post but I just had so much to catch up on with you guys! I promise not to leave it so long anymore and I’ll be back soon with some more goodies to show you πŸ™‚
Also, leave some comments below and let me know what you’ve all been upto!

Reviews: Collection, Topshop & Sleek Lipsticks!

Hello my loves! πŸ™‚

Here is my first review from the massive haul I did and I’m going to start with my favourite type of product, which you all know by now has got to be lipstick!

I’ve bought a few lately, you can check them out in the picture below..

L-R: Collection Little Mix Lipstick in Perrie’s shade, Topshop Lips in Straight Ace, Sleek Matte Me liquid lipstick in Party Pink, Collection Crayon Lip Definer in Nude Pink.

Now, all of these are gorgeous, but my favourite has to be Perrie’s lipstick from the Little Mix range for Collection which I bought in Superdrug for Β£2.99 and is a brilliant dupe for “Up the Amp” by Mac!
Here are the swatches..

Top to Bottom: Collection Lip Definer, Sleek liquid lipstick Topshop Lips, Little Mix for Collection
As you can see from above, all of the lipsticks have fantastic colour payoff, the pigmentation of all of the is great, especially Perrie’s lipstick and the Sleek Matte Me lipstick.
I bought the Collection Lip Definer as considering I have so many lipsticks, I didn’t actually own a nude lip liner and had been meaning to pick one up for ages and I finally got around to it! It was from Superdrug also, and cost something like Β£1.99, I think. It’s so easy to use, it twists up so it never needs sharpening and it’s pretty soft, although not soft enough that it would snap. It’s a great nude colour and it goes with pretty much all of my nude lipsticks. It also looks great on its own if you colour in the lips and wear it as a matte lipstick. In fact, I like it so much I’m going to go back to Superdrug and see if I can pick up a few more colours!

Anyone who knows me, knows how much I love Sleek and how much I rave about their products so it was only natural that I was going to get one of these eventually! I have to say, the pigmentation is incredible, as it is with most Sleek products, and as an avid matte lipstick lover, I knew I was going to get my wear out of it. However, it is slightly drying on the lips and I’m not entirely sure why the shade is called ‘Party Pink’ as it is actually more of a coral-red! But it doesn’t matter, I still love it and I know it will be worn on many occasions!

Now, my favourite of all the lippies that I got – Perrie’s lipstick from the Little Mix range for Collection! I didn’t go intending to buy this, but I thought I’d lost my Up the Amp lipstick from Mac (which I have since found, thankfully!) so I went hunting for something similar and this is what I found. And for all the price of it, it’s actually great. Colour payoff is great, it’s super creamy and has a slight sheen to it so it isn’t completely matte. I love everything about it, although it didn’t last too long and I had to top up a few times during the day but for Β£2.99 who can complain?! πŸ™‚

And finally, my first Topshop cosmetic purchase, a lipstick in the gorgeous shade ‘Straight Ace’. I’ve taken quite a shine to purples this winter and I seem to have gathered up quite a few recently but this one is just gorgeous, it’s a bright electric blue-toned purple with a slight hint of glitter. I think it’ll look great during the Christmas season and after using it I’ll definitely be trying out some of Topshops’ other beauty wares!

Let me know what you guys think, have you tried out any of these lovely lippies?

Love & Lipstick,
Tammy xoxo

I’m backkk!! :)

Hello lovelies!

I apologise for being a bad blogger and disappearing off the radar for a few weeks, things have just been so busy since we moved to London, I’ve barely had any time to do anything! But, I’m back, we’re all settled into our flat and all our stuff has finally arrived so I’m back to posting regularly from now on and I have SO many products to show you and reviews to do so we better get started! πŸ™‚

Over the past few weeks I’ve just picked up bits and pieces here and there and also, it was my 21st birthday so I got a few goodies for that too and I’ve gathered them all together specially to show you! πŸ™‚

So as you can see, I’ve been having a little bit of fun with this lot!
Here’s the full list of what I got just incase you can’t see everything;
Collection Lipstick, Topshop Lipstick, Sleek Matte Me liquid lipstick, Collection Lip Definer, LancΓ΄me Blush Subtil palette, Mac blush, Nars blush, Sleek Brow kit, Maybelline Gel Liner, LancΓ΄me Hypnose Doll Eyes eyeshadow palette, Sleek foundation, Lush Cleanser, Babyliss Tangle Teezer and I also got the Argan Oil Hydrating shampoo but I forgot to include it in the picture πŸ™‚
I will do reviews on everything here separately but I just wanted to let you have a look at what I’ve been upto and products that have taken my fancy in the shops over the past month or two!
And as always, as beauty junkies, we do love a good sample or two when we buy products so I also picked up these whilst getting some goodies for family and friends for Christmas (and myself, of course!)

I actually got some really lovely samples, some of which I’ve tried out over the past few days and have really liked! So above, we’ve got a few things from L’Occitane; Precious Eye Balm, Ultra a Rich Body Cream and Milk Concentrate Face and Body Lotion, as well as the Cupcake face mask from Lush, Charcoal face mask from Origins and a little pot of the Sheer Matte Foundation from Nars in the shade Mont Blanc.

Instead of writing one super long post, I’m going to go off and do mini reviews on all these products for you guys over the next few days so I hope you enjoy them! πŸ™‚

Life Update and Exciting New Products!

Hello my loves! πŸ™‚

I’m sorry that I seem to have disappeared off the face of the earth for a few weeks, since we moved to London it’s just been hectic! Both myself and my lovely boyfriend were both thrown straight into work and I STILL feel like we haven’t had time to recover, I need more sleep! It’s been so busy, we haven’t even had time to do any touristy stuff yet, boo!! 😦 but when we do, I will keep you all updated don’t worry πŸ™‚

But, onto the important stuff, I’m getting back to what I do best, getting over excited about make up and new products! And speaking of new products, Benefit have some AH-mazing new releases coming after Xmas! Sneaky peeks for you lot!

First up, coming on Boxing Day (Dec 26th), we’ve got the Porefessional: Agent Zero Shine!

So, unlike the original Porefessional, a primer that you apply before make up to minimise pores and shine, this is actually a finishing powder to help set make up and control shininess, perfect for those of you that like me, by midday end up with a face resembling an oil slick. I literally cannot wait to get my hands on this!

Next up is a new addition to the tint family, Lollitint! I loved it before I even saw it thanks to the name! But now that I’ve seen it I think I love it even more, check it out..

It’s the most gorgeous sheer, candy coloured pink with a slight lilac hue, perfect for spring/summer. You can expect to see this little beauty at your nearest counter in January! πŸ™‚

And finally, I’m sure most of you already know about this one, but just a reminder of the launch date we’ve got Gimme Brow!

Gimme Brow is essentially a brow mascara, which contains fibres in order to give you fuller, thicker, more volumised brows and will be coming to your counters in the New Year! πŸ™‚

Review: MAC Lipstick in Rebel

Hi loves! πŸ™‚

The other day I picked up a MAC lipstick that I've had my eye on for agess. It's called 'Rebel' and it's an absolutely stunning purple-y plum, gorgeous for this time of the year.

It's a Satin finish, which means that it's still creamy, matte and full of colour but a lot less drying on the lips than the matte finishes. As you all know I the satin and amplified finishes from MAC are my absolute favourites because they're so packed with colour, and you can always find literally any colour that you could ever want, they last forever too which is a bonus! Check out the swatch below πŸ™‚

What do you think? What's your favourite MAC lipstick?
